  9. Mr. Iqbal Ali Lakhani has over 39 years of top management experience in group companies in finance, marketing, manufacturing industry and government relations. His special interests include marketing, finance, total quality management and re-engineering. Mr. Lakhani is Chairman of the Corporate Boards of 5 Lakson Group Companies which are listed on the stock exchanges covering a diversified range of businesses such as paper & board, soap, detergents, toothpaste, printing & packaging and insurance. The spectrum of unlisted public & private 26 Companies includes surgicals, media (T.V. & print), software development & consultancy, travel & tourism, investment & mutual funds, ISP-broad band & data centre, business process outsourcing house into call Centre & I.T. He is also Trustee of Hasanali & Gulbanoo Lakhani Foundation (A Lakson group welfare trust) providing educational and medical facilities to the needy and deserving persons and helping in other social activities.

He has been Chairman of the Cigarette Manufacturers Association of Pakistan, Aga Khan Economic Planning Board for Pakistan and Vice President of the American Business Council of Pakistan.

  13. Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Lakhani is Managing Director and Chief Executive of four companies including two multinational companies of Lakson group. He is an active partner of the Lakson Group and Director on the Corporate Boards of 5 Lakson companies and 1 other company which are listed on Stock Exchanges and also the Director of the unlisted 21 public and private companies of the Group. Mr. Lakhani has over 31 years of experience in manufacturing, marketing, sales and finance. He is MBA from Wharton School of Business; University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance & Marketing, M.S. in Industrial Engineering and B.S Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. He is also Trustee of Hasanali & Gulbanoo Lakhani Foundation (A Lakson group welfare trust). Mr. Lakhani is Chairman of Foundation for Museum of Modern Art (FOMMA) in Pakistan.

An MBA in Finance and International Business from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania (USA) and holder of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University (USA), Mr. Amin Mohammed Lakhani is part of the Executive Leadership Team of Lakson Group of Companies.

Mr. Amin Mohammed Lakhani is Chief Executive of SIZA Foods (Private) Ltd., the franchise holders of McDonald’s restaurants in Pakistan, a world known Multinational Corporation serving fast foods. Under his dynamic leadership, SIZA has succeeded in a short period of 14 years in making McDonald’s almost a household name in Pakistan, expanding the network of its restaurants to 26 in key cities of the country. He has also won “Golden Arches Award” 2011 from McDonald’s Corporation.

His rich experience in finance, marketing, management and production spanning over 30 years has enabled him to serve as CEO of 15 unlisted public and private limited companies, Director on the Corporate Boards of 5 Lakson Group companies listed on Stock Exchanges in Pakistan and Director in 11 other private companies of the Lakson Group.
  19. Mr. Lakhani is the Honorary Consul General of Singapore in Pakistan since July 1992. Previously he served as Singapore’s Honorary Consul since April 1989. Acknowledging his services the Republic of Singapore awarded him Public Service Star.
  20. Mr. Lakhani actively participates in social activities. He is a Founder Member of Pakistan Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization, and served as the local Chapter’s chairman for the 2006-07 term. He is a Member of Stanford Alumni Association as well as of The Wharton Alumni Association. He is an ardent sport enthusiast and his favourite sporting activities include riding, playing polo, tennis and golf. He has widely travelled around the globe and takes interest in international/current affairs.

Mr. Tasleemuddin Ahmed Batlay is a Director on the Corporate Boards of 5 Lakson Group Companies listed on Stock Exchanges, covering a diversified range of businesses i.e. soap, detergents, paper & board, printing and packaging, insurance etc. and also Director of unlisted public companies of the group. Mr. Batlay possesses professional experience in consumer marketing, corporate and legal affairs, industry issues management, Government and Intra-Industry relations etc.
  25. Mr. Batlay joined the Lakson Group in the year 1986 and is an active member of the Board of Directors of the group. He is member of Audit Committees of all listed companies of the group and have also been a member of several committees of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and various Governmental committees. Mr. Batlay is presently a member of the executive committee of American Business Council. He has served as President of the American Business Council, Chairman and Member of Cigarette Manufacturers Association of Pakistan.
  26. Mr. A. Aziz H. Ebrahim

  28. Mr. A. Aziz H. Ebrahim has over 46 years of varied experience in financial management in Private Industries in Pakistan. Mr. Aziz started his career in 1967 as Finance Manager with ARAG group of Industries dealing in various businesses such as Pharmaceuticals, Textile, Cosmetics, and Biscuits Manufacturing etc. He left the ARAG Group in 1977, as Financial Advisor.

Mr.  Aziz joined Lakson Group of Companies in 1977 as Manager Finance and presently is a  Director on the Corporate Boards of 2 Lakson Group Companies listed on Stock Exchanges and also as Director on the Boards of several other Companies of the Group. He has been instrumental in running the Hasanali & Gulbanooo Lakhani Foundation providing educational, medical and other social activities, besides handling the finance function of five other Group Companies.
  30. Mr. Mohammad Hussain Hijri

  32. Mr. Mohammad Hussain Hirji is presently the Chief Executive Officer of Century Insurance Company Limited, a position he has held since September 2010.
  33. Mr. Hirji started his insurance career in 1989 and since then has worked in various capacities with a number of major insurance companies in Pakistan. During this period he spent three years in Canada working in the insurance broking industry. He has also served as Head of Finance and Administration at the Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development for a couple of years. His last assignment prior to joining the Lakson Group was as head of a reputable general insurance company based in Islamabad.
  34. Mr. Hirji completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at DePaul University in Chicago. He became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1991. He is also a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker. He is ”Certified Director” by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PIGC).

  38. Mr. Sadrudin Ismail Mohamed has over more than 40 years of experience in providing strategic, academic, financial and operational leadership in a diverse range of institutions particularly in the education sector in Africa, Canada and Pakistan. Of prominence contribution towards the establishment of Aga Khan University-Institute for Education Development (AKU-IED) in Karachi and its Professional Development Centers in Gilgit-Baldistan, Chitral and East Africa. Also held senior faculty as well as management positions at the institute for more than 18 years and made a major contribution towards setting up the academic programmes and management portfolio; developing partnerships with governments, international donors and universities; and representing the university at various national and international forums.

Mr. Sadrudin authored a number of publications and made conference presentation, also served on the governing bodies of a number of institutions including Indus Valley School of Arts, Notre Dame Institute of Education, Aga Khan Education Services Kenya and Alberta Cultural Heritage Council and awarded as a Professor Emeritus from Aga Khan University.
  40. Mr. Sadrudin has a wide range of educational background with a Ph. D. Chemistry and M. Sc. Physical Chemistry from Uppsala University, Sweden and MBA from University of Alberta, Canada, also got a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, B. SC. In Physics, Chemistry and mathematics from Uppsala University, Sweden.

  43. Mr. Bilal Ali Lakhani is co-founder and publisher of The Express Tribune, one of Pakistan’s leading English-language daily newspapers and a publishing partner of The New York Times. Also responsible for driving business growth across other media properties of the Lakson Group including Daily Express, the most popular Urdu newspaper. He serves as Director on corporate Board of a Public company and 9 private companies. He is also an angel advisor/investor at DotZero Ventures, an early-stage investment fund based out of Karachi. Studied at Yale and Brandeis Universities where he read management and political science. In his spare time he loves to travel, most recently visiting Cambodia, reading fiction, playing squash and the board game, Catan.
